Is Intensive Care Monitor available in an electronic version?
No. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, Intensive Care Monitor is always the same size (20 pages) and is very portable. It can be read easily while travelling, having a coffee break or just a few spare minutes. In the time it would take to log on a subscriber can read two or three abstracts and comments.

Secondly, we have kept the cost of a subscription to Intensive Care Monitor unchanged since 1994. If we were to produce an electronic version this would involve the purchase of expensive protective software to stop issues being passed around. This would inevitably mean a significant rise in the cost of a subscription which we wish to avoid.

When can I start my subscription?
Subscriptions can start with any of the six two-monthly issues throughout the year. A subscription consists of six issues plus an Index. The choice of when to start is yours, it can either be with the current issue or you can backdate to the beginning of the year.

When are the issues published?
The issues are mailed halfway through the second month. That means January/February is mailed mid-February, March/April in mid-April, May/June in mid-June etc.

Does the subscription rate vary for different parts of the world?
No. The rate is the same, GBP60.00, for anywhere worldwide. UK copies are sent second class post and overseas copies are sent as Airmail Printed Papers. In practical terms this means that almost all subscribers receive their copies within 3 to 4 days of mailing.

Do the copies have to be sent to my hospital department?
No. You can choose the address for mailing. It can be to either a private address or to the hospital where you work.
